Scott and I became friends in high school and eventually became very close after we graduated. He was a frequent - often daily visitor at my house in Norwell. He used to love mowing the ball field on the rider mower to get it ready for some contentious tennis ball action. As with every activity Scott undertook, he excelled and always wanted to win.
I was honored to be Scott’s Best Man and even visited him and Kate on their honeymoon.
More recently we texted and talked every week to see who the other liked in that weeks PGA event.
Of course everyone knows of Scott’s golfing prowess. Scott would get frustrated at how bad I was at golf, going so far as to gift me a set of irons in hopes that would improve my game - they didn’t.
Like so many others, I’ll miss my great Scott DeSantis. My deepest condolences to Marie, Derek, Danny, Paul and to Scott’s extended family and countless friends.
