Our sincere sympathy to the whole Packard family. Your mom was the mother of 8, but she was “Mom” to so many more. Always a big smile for the after school friends, the sleep over kids and those of us that continued to visit up through college, the Army, through our adult lives. Visits to my family in Pembroke always included a visit to the Packard home and a couple of 2 pound lobsters for “Mom”. Oh, did her eyes light up for those! Hopefully, Heaven is located somewhere close to Northern Maine with a never ending supply of the big ones. My life has generally been a good one, and I know it was made better by having “Mom” Packard a part of it. I never heard her complain and raising 8 children certainly gave her many reasons to do that. Rest In Peace, “Mom”, you certainly deserve it.
