Patrick Thomas Nolan (Pat)], 86, of Plympton, MA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Plymouth, MA.
Pat was born in Tickles, Newfoundland to Tom and Della on April 6, 1935. He became a member of the IUEC local 4 in 1963. Pat started his own elevator company, South Shore Elevator in 1976 and owned it until 2014. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, and painting. He treasured time outside working in his yard and garage.
Pat is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Nancy (Gaffey) Nolan. Pat is survived by his daughter, Ann Marie Nolan and her husband Carl Banville Sr. of Plymouth MA and his daughter, Maureen Ostby and her husband Rob of Henderson NV. He had five grandchildren Richard Ostby of Taunton, Carl Banville Jr and his wife Jessie of Plymouth, Elizabeth Banville of Coral Springs, Florida, Jacquelyn Banville of Dorchester and Brittney and her husband Greg Wilkinson of Carver. He has two great grandchildren, Julieta and Riley Banville of Plymouth. Pat is survived by many sisters and brothers in law and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Pat will be remembered for his clever wit and many stories mostly good and often repeated.
The family would like to thank the staff at Plymouth Crossings for their kindness and support.
A private celebration of Pat’s life will be held at St Joseph’s Parish, Kingston, MA on May 4th at 10 AM.
