Josee, Sam, Madeleine and extended family, my deepest sympathies are with you. I had the privilege of working with Don on and off over the past 9 years at FGX and during every single interaction, I smiled or laughed at least once and sometimes we shared those deep, rollicking laughs that only happen with close friends. And that's how I think of Don, a close friend gone too soon.

Hi Josee, Sam and Maddey. So sorry for your loss. Hard to believe that Don's energy and enthusiasm isn't here, but we're so glad we got a chance to share it for a while. We' wish we could lift a little of the weight right now and we'll check in on you all as time goes on. Love, Mike Clarkson and Liz Montgomery

Josee, Sam & Maddey, my deepest condolences to you. Don was a colleague and dear friend at FGX. A man of intellect, humor and kindness. His family was always top of mind and a true highlight for him was Maddey's wedding. He was very eager to talk about and share pictures and videos of that special day. Of course in typical Don fashion it included a lot of backstory and laughter. He will be sorely missed and FGX will not be the same without him. Rest in Peace Don.

So saddened to hear of the passing of Donald, my heart goes out to the entire Juliano family. I have great memories of growing up with Donald, endless street hockey games (Harwich Hawks), long summer days in Humarock, cruising the streets of Brockton in the Batmobile and so many more. Mr. and Mrs. Juliano, Jane, Ed and Mike, Needless to say I was shocked upon hearing of the passing of Donald. I still remember our first meeting after you moved in at Harwich Rd when I said asked him “Do you want to be friends?” Such fond memories of playing all the usual neighborhood games, but most of all street hockey! My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Dean

I am so thankful for the opportunity I have had to work closely with Don over the past 5 years. Always encouraging me to be strong throughout the growing pains of my career and having confidence in my abilities even when I had doubts. He was a dedicated mentor , not just thinking about the current task of the day but mindful of how helping people grow both in character and skill leads to better futures. He always made time for me whether it be to assist with a problem , answer a question or simply tell a funny story just to give my mind a break from the job. I worked harder for Don, not because he asked but because I knew he was proud of those he managed and doing my best was the most valuable way of expressing gratitude for all he gave as a manager. I am deeply saddened by the abrupt end to our daily chats and weekly work sessions. I will miss his presence greatly. The work day will never be the same with out him. My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies to his family and to all of us suffering this terrible loss. -Kristin Stamp

RIP Don Juliano There was a time in my life when Don was my closest professional friend, and such a huge contributor to my career. Our families traveled together during key business trips... Don hosted us in his home... he worked tirelessly to ensure my success... he always kept a level head and an amazing sense of humor... he even provided professional references for me when I applied for key roles long after we stopped working together. No matter how many years would pass by without contact, Don was always there for me if I needed him. I cannot even begin to express the depths of my gratitude or that of my sorrow. I remember when he and I somehow became "unwitting participants" at that Pirates of The Caribbean Dinner Show! Nothing but great great memories of Don Juliano. Quite simply an amazing man, a joy to be around, an incredible individual. I am old and surly these days... but this morning I am crying like a child. My sincere condolences go out to Josie, and also to Don’s entire family and circle of close friends. I feel your precious loss this day. I truly do. I had the privilege of working with Don for four years at FGX, two of which our cubicles were next to each other. I have nothing but fond memories of my time working for him. Whether he was roping me into a project simply because I was the nearest desk to him or throwing a bag of chips over the wall because he knew I'd eat them (I always did), Don's energy made for quite the environment to go to work in. To this day I find myself using his sayings ("Under promise, over deliver" is a favorite of mine), and I don't think it's a stretch to say I wouldn't be where I am in my career without Don's mentoring.
My deepest condolences to Don's family, friends, and colleagues at FGX.

I worked with a lot of associates over the years at Foster Grant and Don was one of the special people. A smart dedicated guy who always had a solution for the problem at hand. Most of us had no clue how he developed our resupply process but the results will stand the test of time. He was one of the few that were the heart and soul of FG. Always a smile and up to any task. Loved by all the associates and customers. He will be missed by all. My condolences to his family. Jack Flynn

My condolences for this monumental loss. I worked with Don for six years at my first job out of college. He was a leader that demanded a lot but gave even more than he asked. Any time I doubted the time spent on a project, I did not need to look far to realize he had been in the office probably an hour before me, and often several hours after I left. The type of person that you WANT to work hard for. It would be impossible to forget his dry, yet razor sharp wit and humor. A great manager, but more importantly an even better person. I can say confidently, that I do not think I would be where I am currently without his guidance early in my career.

I had the honor and pleasure of living with DJ at 382 Comm. Ave. in Boston for 3+ years from 1983 to 1987. It was a great time to live in Boston with DJ, Jeff and Dan DeMarco and Andrew Doggett. We had fun parties and even ran a Sunday morning road race in our pajamas. Don was always in the thick of things, joking in his deadpan way and making it fun. He was a good man and I was proud to know him. He left us too early, but his spirit will live on in those of us that loved him. Bliss

My deepest condolences to Alice, Don and the entire Juliano family. I have so many great memories from our childhood summers in Humarock--on the beach, hanging around in any one of the houses on Manchester St, on the boat or just causing good old fun sitting on 'Clark's' steps. I'll cherish these times that much more now. Much love.

Dear Josee, Sam, and Maddey. I have been so lucky to have been Don’s friend for 21 years. Not only did we spend so much time at work in Rhode Island but he and I managed to spend time outside of work in many places in MA and RI talking about our families. I have traveled more with Don than anyone else including my wife and kids. We have been in so many places- ft lauderdale, NYC, Cleveland, San Luis Obispo , Daytona beach, Texas, Minneapolis,Chicago, Arkansas, Vancouver, Seattle, Portland,OR, Santa Barbara, Phoenix, and on and on. I couldn’t imagine traveling with someone more fun than him. Even though we worked so hard if it was an evening or a weekend he would find a restaurant, bar, 4 wheeling, hiking , extreme driving etc. I have never met anyone with so much sense of adventure and I never will. I will never forget all the time I was able to spend with him. Don is awesome. His friend Rick
