Dear Jim and family-
Our deepest sympathy to all who loved and were loved by Kathy. Her compassion to those who have had cancer and are trying to combat the dreadful disease was her gift to others. As one who has battled cancer, we always live in fear of its return but helping others as Kathy did, is remarkable.

I work for Fitbit and had the pleasure of assisting Kathleen in promoting her passions for health and wellness to her team at Deciphera. Her energy and passion were contagious, and her program saw massive success as her coworkers were able to experience Kathy's passion. She will be sorely missed, but her legacy will last at her company!

This is one more picture of Kathy sharing my daughter’s baby shower. She was 13 when she met Kathy and Devin and Patrick. So its Kathy, my daughter Kelly, Jennifer who is pregnant with her first son, me and our other amazing friend, Christine Griffin. After the baby shower we got to see Kathy’s wedding dress for her wedding for Jim. It was in Boston and there was a huge snow storm but we spent the night together and talked until 3 am in the morning—— all tired the next day but never regretted then every minute, every story we had to share and support each other with. It was just one story of 21 years of friendship together. I already miss her sooo much—- but I’m also trying to mirror what I saw her demonstrate in her last few months. She showed such courage, strength, dignity, grace and everything I could only dream of being. With so much love to Jim and family and friends. My husband, Herb loved her dearly as well. I hope we can all take the love she had and somehow pass it on. Love, Kristine Ochu and Herb Rush

Kathy was one of my closet friends . My heart is breaking for all of our loss of her laughter, smile, energy and unconditional love. She was absolutely amazing. Herb ( m husband) and I were so proud that we introduced her to Jim and got to share in all the fun they had together. It would take me chapters to write of all of our memories but this was the last time I saw her in Florida and one of our favorites. My love is with all of the family and Jim.

I am so sorry for your loss! I knew Kathy and her family back in Massapequa as a child. I wish I had words to make you feel better, but there are none. I know she will be greatly missed! I wish I could be there for you, but please know I am with you in spirit. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Kathy is with you...just in a different way. Her love will always be there.

I met Kathy for the first time when I was in Tampa (we were from Concord but lived in Punta Gorda, FL) while going through a procedure my husband was having for lung cancer. Our son, Travis, was soon to marry Kathy’s niece, Kerry Anzenberger, and we were not sure whether we would make the wedding or not. Their family had been special to us since Kerry helped in the planning of Travis’s 16th birthday. My husband and I were desolate in Tampa and feeling pretty helpless. Along came Kathy with her cheerful, “you’ll beat it” attitude. She had been through it and her understanding of what we were facing was so welcome. We loved her immediately. My husband died but my love for Kathy didn’t. I was able to use my family connections to wrangle an invitation to her wedding in Nantucket and other chances to be with her. She will live in my memory for her love of fun, her love for her family, and the laughter and smiles she brought to us all

Kathleen was instrumental in helping us establish a Multiple Myeloma Support Group here in Staten Island, NY when she was with Millennium. She met with us several times and supported our efforts to get the group off the ground. I don't think we would have been successful without her help. Today our group is 8 years old and thriving because she cared enough to help us find our way. She was a kind, caring woman who will be missed by those who knew her. Our hearts are so saddened to learn of her passing. She will not be forgotten.
