I’m sorry your time together is through. But, relieved his suffering is over.
Geoff and I went through grammar school, junior high and high school together. He was always a great and gracious guy.
Since reconnecting at our 45th HS reunion, Geoff and I spoke frequently. And, although we spoke in length about his journey, he never once complained. The strength he showed was awe-inspiring. I would hang up the phone and wonder how he did it.
He was always so pleasant, present, introspective, funny and sharp as a tack. And, that booming voice of his remained til the end.
I’ll miss our heart-to-hearts. I’ll miss his friendship. I will carry him with me always.
My deepest condolences to Karen. I am so sorry your time together has been cut so short. And, I am so glad that, during his most trying time, he was so loved and well cared for. Thank you for loving my dear, old school friend so much.
