Our condolences to the Locke family on the loss of an amazing man. Richard was a mentor to a lot of us Sagamore Beach Bums and his sense of humor and sincere friendship was a gift that will last forever. I am sure Cynthia is thrilled to have him with her again!

My condolences on the loss of your wonderful father. Not only did he possess a terrific sense of humor and bring laughs and smiles to every room he graced, but he was a loyal and kind friend to many. He was a dear friend to my father for decades and my family will always be grateful for the friendship they shared. He was such a good man and I will miss him.

I have happy memories of walks on the beach when your dad would advise me on a wide range of topics from mortgage rates to the importance of sunblock! He and my dad would discuss the merits of the politics of the day tirelessly. They were great pals and he was one of the last people to visit my dad as he died.
He was a kind and wise guy, as well as a wiseguy.
I’m sorry for your loss.
Peace
Kay Keating Thomas.

Oh Mr. Locke!
What an awesome man! Had that quick wit and sense of humor that always had us as kids and later as adults cracking up!
Billy and his siblings were blessed to have such a father figure! I am glad that I met him and share great memories.
Sorry for your loss but also know he is making people smile with memories.

Dear Sarah and Beloved Family of Mr. Locke,
What a lovely gentleman! I just had the pleasure of meeting your Dad in recent months at the Newfield House. I enjoyed our chats and always walked away smiling.
Just a week ago Thursday, July 18th, I joined Mr. Locke and my Dad in playing volleyball in the lounge; Richard laughed and smiled and took great pleasure in getting that beachball over the net while Jimmy Buffett music was playing in the background! It is hard to believe that that was only eight days ago.
May you all take some solace in knowing that he is reunited with your Mom, his Cynthia, and that any anxiety he had with life changes in recent months have washed away. All is like a beautiful Sagamore beach morning with a freshly cleaned beach following a night of some wave action.
With our sincere sympathy, and affection for Richard,
Mary Jane Calhoun-Donelan and Family
