It is sad to hear of our Aunt Barbara's passing but we are sure that she is resting in peace. She had a strong faith. We were fortunate to have Uncle Al and her be godparents to our daughter, Pamela.
Although we moved away from Braintree and Weymouth, it was always fun to visit Aunt Barbara and to hear about the activities of her family. She was so active and making the best of each situation.
We will have a Memorial Mass said in her honor and our prayers are with her family.

Since 1994 when my mother, Mildred, moved from Massachusetts to Texas, each year she and I would return to MA in early June to visit family and friends. A highlight of our trip each year was to visit with Aunt Barbara. Mother and I would pick her up from her home (first at her mobile home in Halifax, and then later at her senior apartment). We would drive down towards the Cape Cod Canal. We always stopped for lunch at a restaurant at the edge of the canal to enjoy lobster rolls. Then, we would sit along the canal to watch the boats go by and the sisters would catch up with a good chat. On the way home, they both enjoyed stopping at the Christmas Tree Shop to buy souvenirs and knick-knacks. This visiting routine continued for 20 years until Mildred passed away at the age of 102.
I will always remember Aunt Barbara for her practical outlook on life and her wry sense of humor. She was fun to visit all those years. My condolences to her family. I know she will be missed but she was blessed to live a good long life. With love, Betty Miller Niimi
