Obituary of Regina L McCarthy

Regina L. McCarthy, 86, of Sandwich, died peacefully on Friday Nov. 2, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Regina is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Whelan and her husband Dan of Yarmouthport, Catherine McCarthy of PA, Alice McCarthy of West Barnstable, and her son, the late Thomas McCarthy.

Regina was an avid reader and expert Scrabble player. She loved to travel and immerse herself in history.

She was married to the late John F. McCarthy for 62 years and it is comforting to know they are together again.

Friends and family are invited to a gathering at Corpus Christi Church, 324 Meeting House Rd., E. Sandwich, MA on Thursday, November 8 at 10:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church at 11:00AM. Following the Mass, a luncheon will be served at the Church. Donations in Regina's memory may be made to the Sandwich Public Library.
