Obituary of LCDR Charles W. Isherwood

LCDR Charles W. Isherwood, USCG (Retired) of Carver, , loving husband ,father,& doting grandfather died unexpectedly June 2 due to complications from a long term heart condition. Born in Framingham, raised in New Bedford, he graduated from SMU and earned a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. Mr. Isherwood was proud of his military service to his country in both Vietnam and his 20 years in the USCG. He is survived by his wife Rachel K. (Liebl) Isherwood, his father Charles S. Isherwood of Carver, his sister Deborah A. Isherwood of Auburn, NH, three sons, Michael of SC, Jeffrey of NY and Patrick of New Bedford, three daughters, Sharon of FL, Lisa of NH and Dawn of Plymouth, 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He enjoyed wood working and traveling, but his passion was his family and friends. He always put others before himself. He will be buried with Military Honors at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
