Obituary of Sheldon W. Peavey

Sheldon W. Peavey of Kingston passed away February 23rd after battling Pulmonary Fibrosis, he was 71. He fought the disease with Courage and Faith. He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Barbara H. (Berg) Peavey and his 3 children; April, Jason and Jill, their spouses, Dianne, John and Kieran respectively – 2 Grandchildren Amelia 6 and Jeremy 3, and also his brother Alex Peavey. Sheldon had many friends and family who loved him.
Sheldon was born in W. Acton MA on April 1, 1938 to Howard and Lettie (Burnham) Peavey of Montville, ME. He was one of six children. He grew up in Kingston where he graduated from Silver Lake HS class of 1956. He attended the University of Arizona in Tucson, where he majored in Astro Physics. He was drafted into the Army and served as an MP at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.
He loved working outdoors and loved to make people laugh and was involved in many church activities. Sheldon was a problem solver and was creative in so many ways.

Calling hours will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home 116 Main St. CARVER (Rte 58) Friday February 26th from 4-8pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday February 27th at 10am at the Church of Pilgrimage, Town Sq. Plymouth MA.
