We were blessed to have Shirley take care of our daughters, Sara and Jackie, for several years. I could trust her implicity and the girls adored her, and so did we. Ironically, I called Shirley on the 12th because I was thinking about her and wanted to connect with her. I left a message on the cell phone. I was heartbroken to read that she had passed. I am also sorry that we missed the wake to tell Shirley's family how special she was to our family.

I did not know Shirley had been ill. I knew her from playing Bingo here in Brunswick. I used to sit with her sometimes and also with a mutual friend Nora Alexander. I am so sorry to hear that she passed. My condolences to her family.

To the Shirley family,
I met Shirley when she palyed bridge at Winner's Sports Grill in Brunswick on Wednesdays. She was always so happy and full of life and a great friend to all the ladies that played bridge with her. She always kept me informed of what was going on with her friend Eloise. The best memory of her was when she told me that if I ever wanted to call her to check on Eloise her number was in the book just look for Shirley Shirley. It is so nice you can say it twice.
I will be thinking of you all during these days. She was a wonderful lady and she will be missed.

Dear Shirley Family: Please accept my deepest condolences on the shock of the death of your mother and grandmother. She was a great friend to my Dad, Bill Waters and I will be forever grateful for her for that!! I heard the "Best" Bridge player on the South Shore! I did have dinner with her one evening and she was just lovely company and so full of life and wisdom.
In my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time for I know there is no greater loss then the love of your mother for there is no one who will love you unconditionally!
God Bless, Clare Freeman
