Wallace C. Holmes long time resident of Kingston passed away November 3rd at his home at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Gunther) Holmes of Kingston, children; Glenn A Holmes of Kingston, Julie Brown and her husband Teddy of Plympton, the late Gail A. Alfieri and the late Janet L. Cook. Sister of Marian Duperre of Kingston, and brother of the late George P. Holmes. Grandchildren; Andrew P. Holmes of Sterling, Mason P. Cook of Kingston and great grandchild, Laney Holmes. Wallace was a long time member of the Kingston Fire Department and retired as Chief in 1978. He worked as a custodian and was a member of the Kingston Unitarian Church; he also worked for Tech-Edge for many years in Plymouth. Wallace was an original member of the Hilltop Club in Kingston, retired Board Member of the Kingston Evergreen Cemetery Assoc., belonged to the American Legion Post 108 in Kingston and was a WWII Navy Veteran. Memorial Calling hours will be held Friday November 6th from 4-7pm at Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St (Rte 106) Kingston. A Memorial Service will be held Sat. November 7th at 10am at the Kingston Unitarian Church, Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston. All other services are private. Donations can be made to; The Kingston Fire Dept. Assoc.105 Pembroke St. Kingston, MA 02364.
