We just learned of the passing of Dot Landry and we are so sad we did not attend her services to offer condolences to her family and all her dear friends. Dot was an inspiration to all who knew her, a true lady with a wonderful sense of humor and a keen desire to help to make her community a better place. Dot will be sadly missed. We love you Dot and know you are dancing up in heaven.

Dotty was without a doubt my mother's best friend.
My mother would talk to her at an hour at a time.
I'm sure it was because of Dotty's lending a listening ear and her acceptance of everyone.
Maybe now their talking in heaven; I hope so.

I write today on behalf of my wife Georgia and son Mark who were both in Florida and thus unable to attend the services for Dorothy. Georgia and I met Dot though Mark's involvement in the Plymouth County Democratic League. From the outset, we realized that we were in the company of a very special person who exuded love for everyone. The world has lost a beautiful person in her passing. Our prayers and condolences go out to Patti, Owen, Gary and all of Dot's family.

What a wonderful woman!! I first met Dot when I worked for Congressman Frank at his Bridgewater District Office. Both being very Irish, we became fast friends and I will never forget her quick laugh, kindness and love of family and community. She always asked about my wife and children and I can't remember a time when she wasn't upbeat and full of life. I will never forget her and wish to send my heartfelt condolences to her family. You are in my prayers.

My dear friend, Dot, you will be missed so much by all who ever knew you and loved you and that would be everyone! Thank you for all you taught me about Halifax, Plymouth County and my adopted state of Massachusetts. You always reminded me so much of my own mother who was very involved in her town that I felt I found a close second to her in you. I will always remember all the events we attended together and will cherish those memories.
My deepest condolences go out to Patti, Gary and all of Dot's family and friends. With all my love, Denise.
