William G. Drapeau, 60, of Kingston, died Feb. 11, 2009.He was the beloved husband of 23 years of Anita (Chekoulias) Drapeau. Born in Springfield, MA on May 20, 1948, he was the son of Simone (Campbell) Drapeau and the late William G. Drapeau, Sr. He was raised and educated in Springfield and Enfield, NH. He was employed as an Account Executive for Star Litho, Inc.in Weymouth.A former Knights of Columbus member, William was also President of the South Shore Business Round Table , a member of the So. Shore Chamber of Commerce, the BNI Quintree Chapter of the Business Networking Group and the Old Colony Club. Besides his wife, Anita, he leaves his daughter, Kathryn D. and his son Michael J. Drapeau of Kingston. He was the brother of Susan Drapeau Ewing of Springfield, Janet Drapeau Picard of Westfield, Madeliene Drapeau of Springfield, Norman Drapeau of Springfield, and Eugene Drapeau of Rio Rancho, NM. He was also the brother-in-law of Judith Chekoulias of Rockland, Jane Leonard and her husband Edward of Hubbardston, Cynthia Chekoulias of Pembroke, and Scott Chekoulias of Hanover, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church, Kingston, Mon. Feb. 16 at 11:00AM, followed by a reception at Our Lady’s Hall parish center. Donations in William’s memory may be made to H.O.P.E., Helping Other Parents Endure, South Shore Hospital, 55 Fogg Rd., S. Weymouth, MA 02190 or Restoration Fund of the Old colony Club, P.O.Box 1774 Plymouth, MA 02362.
