Dear Anita and family,
I am sorry that I could not attend the service yesterday for Bill. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Although I did not know Bill that well, I always enjoyed meeting him in the office. We kidded each other a lot especially about his neckties and my allegience to the Boston College sports situations. I will miss those conversations, and I also will miss his good nature and prescence in my life.

Anita, Kathryn and Michael,
Your husband, your father, was truly one of the nicest, most geniune, smartest and gentle man I have ever known. He helped me from the very first day I met him years ago on a soccer field. I had not seen him for quite sometime but ran into him in Whits about a month ago. The ready smile, happy, upbeat, happy to see each other.
He will be greatly missed by whomever had the pleasure of knowing him. I am so sorry for your loss.

Peace and comfort be with Bill's family. Bill was/is a good man. Martyred archbishop Oscar Romero of San Salvador once stated before his unwarranted death that he did "not believe in death without resurrection" and neither do I. But the human loss is always so understandably painful despite our hope in Risen Love.
Bill was an upperclassmen and I a young seminarian at the LaSalette Seminary in Enfield, New Hampshire in the mid-sixties. I remember him as generally quiet because he had a modesty and proper decorum about him and yet he was expressive as someone who was very kind. His kindness really came through even if quietly. I will remember his gentle manner and kind spirit. He was also a great yet humble athlete- a really good goalie.
Each life is both a book we can readily read and yet always a great Mystery too and I think of Bill as a clear-sighted person who was tied to the Ultimate Mystery, God, in a special way. I'm sure he is open to catching Heaven...
God bless and keep him and his family, indeed, all of us. Peace to all of you in your grief.

I and my wife are with you in your grief. I was a teacher/advisor to Bill in Enfield, Worcester and Attleboro as a La Salette Missionary. I enjoyed our friendship and was deeply saddened to hear of his death. I will be unable to be at the services due to surgery on Thursday, but Karen and I will be with you in thought and prayer in the days ahead. May he rest in peace and may you cherish memories of life with him.

My condolences to all of you - family and friends of Bill. And particularly to Fr. Robert Campbell. I was a student also at LaSalette in Enfield in the class ahead of Bill. I remember him for his integrity and sense of self. He was a very bright person who did not flaunt that. And I remember his attention to helping those who needed encouragement. I expect he was especially loved by his family and friends - and that you are torn by the way he was taken from you. I pray you find solace with each other - as he surely would have helped you, and as he showed you by his example.

"Bonjour Bill, Comment ca va aujoud hui." That is how I would say hello to Bill on the phone when I needed some printing. He would answer in French and go on way beyond what I understood. He quickly became more than my printing salesperson, he became a good friend. A truly, kind, good soul that never had anything bad to say about anyone.
Dear Scott, Mrs. Drapeau, Kate and Michael, please accept my deepest sympathy. My prayers are with you and your entire family.
Au Revoir Bill.... Susan Haskins

Ali, Eric and I were deeply saddened to hear about Bill. Living across the street from you guys for 15 years was a pleasure I have missed the last year and a half. I miss my casual chats in the street with Bill, usually while he was out walking Indi. Recently, Eric and I ran into Bill at Papa Ginos and chatted for 15 minutes. Bill was a wonderful person and I'm glad I knew him. We will miss him.
