Please accept my deepest condolences. Ruthie was a special person, a great teacher, wonderful role model, a friend, everything a student needs. Ruthie had such a big impact on my life, education, and personality. She made me believe I was capable of all the impossibles. Her laugh made me smile and laugh with her. I love her and will miss her. My prayers are with the family!

I met Ruth at the South Shore Natural Science Center, where I worked, and she was one of our Front Desk Volunteers..I remember fondly our many conversations, her infectious laugh and big heart, meeting her beloved grandchildren when they attended programs at the Center, etc. One day when she was working, a former student of hers stopped by, just to talk, and I thought, how unusual that she had such a connection with a former student, that he would visit her after graduation, to keep in touch with her...as I got to know Ruth better, I realized that everyone who knew her felt a special connection with her... and I know that she will be both sorely missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they go on without her...take care.

A few times in my life I have met a person who from the very first encounter, I thought, were somehow... "Special". Ruthie was one of those people. Her smile, her energy, her need to share all that is wonderful with the people she loved and cared about was infectous and wonderful! I'm sure she rubbed off on many of the young people she helped! What a wonderful gift she gave so many!! My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

To the entire Carpenter Clan,
Ruth was a truly wonderful woman with such special gifts...gifts that you can't buy...gifts that come from within! She graciously offered those gifts to all of us in the form of contagious laughter, supportive love and incredible humor.
Some of my fondest memories of Ruth involve the time I would spend talking with her after babysitting William, Scott and Pam. It often seemed like I spent more time talking and laughing with Ruth when she returned home than I did babysitting the kids. Ruth was always so interested in what was going on in my life and as a teenager, I ate up that attention.
And when my own mother died, Ruth and Bill were the first neighbors there to offer comfort and support. In my opinion...they just don't make them like Ruth and Bill Carpenter anymore!
I send my sympathy and love to all and know that God just got a very special angel in heaven!

To Ruth’s Family,
I am not sure if you remember me as it has been over twenty years since I saw Scott or Will as left Pembroke right after high school. I have very fond memories of spending time at Scott and Will’s house during our high school years. After all this time, I was saddened to hear that Mrs. Carpenter has passed. I wanted you, her family, to know that I have thought about her quite often over the years. She was the most fun-loving Mom that any of us teenagers had met. Her contagious, gorgeous laugh and smiling face fills my heart with joy. She was a lovely, lovely person who touched so many people. It’s not often that you meet someone who has had a long-standing impact on someone. She was a truly special, unique, and magnificent individual. My condolences to you all on your loss.
With deepest sympathy,
Patti (King) Fletcher
