055Bob was such an inspiration and dear friend. We met through the Alz. Assoc. on Forest Hill Ave. and shared a kinship that this disease helps develop. My husband and I cherish the memories: the occasional breakfast a Joe's Inn on Sunday mornings, volunteering together at health fairs, Memory Walk or just an occasional call. Even though he had suffered a terrible loss, he continued to volunteer and help others with support and the experience he had gained and the skills he possessed.
We always teased him about his Cadillac. He insisted on calling my husband "Jim" although his name is James and his nickname is Butch...Jim it was and my husband never complained. We admired Bob so much for what he had done serving our country, his devotion to his beloved Marguerite and love for his family. Our hearts are heavy today for our loss, but I know that Irish heart is in good hands. Our sympathy goes out to his family and other, many friends. God Bless.
