Obituary of Lewis Buitenhuys

Lewis Buitenhuys passed away Nov. 4, 2008 at Radius Healthcare Center of Plymouth at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Mitchell) Buitenhuys of Kingston MA, 2 daughters; Gretchen and her friend Sheryl Fiumara of Kingston, Rhonda and Bill Hinchey of Pembroke, 3 sons; Douglas and his wife Maureen of Kingston, Paul of Kingston, and Neil and his wife Bethany of Portland ME, 7 Grandchildren; Sarah and her husband James Hanoosh of Marlboro, Brian and his wife Kristy Buitenhuys of Plymouth, Billy and his wife Katie Hinchey of Hanson, Ryan Hinchey of Boston, Arielle Buitenhuys of Portland ME, Zachary and Alexa Buitenhuys of Orono ME, 3 Great Grandchildren; Benjamin Buitenhuys, Sadie Hanoosh and Billy Hinchey III. Lewis was a WWII Navy Veteran who then later worked as a Personnel Manager at The Cordage Co. of Plymouth and then later worked for Halliday Lithograph Co. in Plympton until he retired. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Calling hours will be held Fri. Nov. 7, 2008 from 4-8 pm; Shepherd Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte. 106) Kingston with a funeral service on Sat. Nov. 8, 2008, 10am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plymouth MA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: The Zion Lutheran Church 384 Court St. Plymouth MA 02360.
