Ruthe A. (Basler) Cook 80 years old, a long time resident of Halifax passed away on February, 13th after a brief illness. Born in Pembroke. On Sept 16th, 1927. Beloved Wife of Robert E Cook for 60 years and devoted Mother of Robert D Cook and his wife Betty of Virginia, Debra Lane of Plymouth, Cynthia Cook of Plymouth, Dianna Keating and her husband Tom, of Wareham, Susan Cook Parker also of Wareham. Grandmother of 13, Great Grandmother of 12. Daughter of George and Hazel Basler both deceased and Sister of Robert and Roy Basler, deceased, Ralph Basler and his wife Alice. She was a long time member of the Halifax Congregational Church. An avid gardener, and a passionate reader. Her love and zest for life, was her family and adventure. She also loved to travel, an avid skier and boating with her husband and family. Calling Hours will be held on Tues. Feb.19,2008 4-8 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt14 Pembroke Center) A Funeral Service will be held on Wed Feb.20,2008 at the Halifax Congregational Church at 10AM. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Halifax
