Today will be a hard day for so many as we say goodbye to Jimmy. It's never easy saying goodbye for the last time to someone we love. He was loved by so many. Most people are lucky to say that they have a handful of people they can truly count on and I think every person that knew him can say he fell into that handful for them. It's rare to be a person that when you leave this world there will be people standing there saying my life was changed by having him in it. He was someone we all counted on, he was there whenever you needed someone. He had a way of making people feel like they were the most important person in the world at that very moment and that's a true gift. When he loved you, he loved you fiercely he was an all or nothing kind of guy. Growing up having him around and watching him with all the kids that have followed he had that same impact on each and everyone he came in contact with. He showed them it's ok to stay a big kid and never be fearful of showing love and affection. He taught them to be honest, kind and help people every chance you get. And this is something he taught my sons. Im thankful that he loved them and was there for them because I know my sons will be better men as they grow from having him in their lives. I know I'm a better person because I knew him. I don't know if he ever realized the impact he had on others but I hope and pray that as he sits in heaven watching us he sees the power that his love and friendship had on so many.
