As Kevin's Mother, I Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers as I quietly mourn his death on January 8th, 2015. It seems so unreal and acceptance will take time.
Society dictates what parents should or shouldnt be doing and what you should do is follow is your heart. I'm glad I did because that gave us almost 3 months left to live with each other. His uncanny sense or humor, how he took shit from no one and that oh so handsome face. But the dark side is my son struggled every day and now his agony is over. At peace without pain and strain of addiction. My son tried very hard to combat it but ultimately, he lost, by accident. Peace to you all and really, let the small stuff go because in the end, it's all meaningless, it's only Love that matters.
