Sylvia, Cindy, Susan and Betsy. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was a good friend and neighbor to me for many years. He always had time to chat at the end of our driveways and never failed to sincerely ask how things were. I will miss him.

So saddened to read of your loss. Lost my own Dad earlier this year. Having left the area right after High School neither of our families really knew the others' parents more than just the other's Dad. We never were able to see those things that the family will remember. Mr Edwards had a very public footprint that you can all be very proud of but judging by the wonderful families that have grown from his children it is so clear that his private footprint was consistent with his public one. I pray for comfort for every family member for the coming days' months, and years.

My sincerest condolences for your loss. He was truly one of the kindest most genle men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Always a smile and a good word for all. A true gentleman who adored his family. His loss will be shared by so many. Peace and love to all his family.

I remember Doug as my Junior high science teacher and Freshman football coach. I still remember his speech to us after a loss ending with "you guys are gutless wonders in white hats" - Doug did have a way with words lol. Years later in the late 80's I reconnected with him as he became the color man of our football and basketball cable broadcasts with CAP sports. He was always a true gentleman and I enjoyed our chats before and after the broadcasts. Rest in peace Doug and I am sure there is a coaching spot for you in heaven.

My sympathies to the family of Mr. Edwards. II had him for a teacher in Jr. H.S. He was a really wonderful person. I remember him well being involved in coaching and sports at Plymouth HS & Plymouth-Carver HS. He taught with my father at those schools and Mr. Edwards name always came up at home. My Dad was Mario Romano. this past summer where my friend and I parked our cars and took our morning walk. We always looked for his car to see if he was already there. He helped to "start off our day". He will be missed. I remember his voice on WPLM. !! May he rest in peace..
