Dear Mrs. Lamacchia and family-
I was so sorry to learn of Mr. Lamacchia's passing. I was a student of his at Tri-county back in the 1980's and Bob had a profound impact on my life. We kept in contact for several years after my graduation (in fact he used to pay me to scrape and sand the bottom of his boat for several years when you lived in Norwood and Betty would always make me a nice lunch!!) I have nothing but fond memories of Bob. I didn't like it at the time, but Bob discovered that I was a student that was "slipping though the cracks" of the school system and he put an abrupt end to that. He also managed to do it without embarrassing me to my peers. Although he was my shop teacher, he involved himself in some manner in all of my other classes to make sure I was doing what was needed. I have nothing but gratitude for Bob, but I know that he is with his heavenly father now and I also know how dear he held his faith. The reason that I happened to read about his recent passing was by doing a Google search so I could try to reach him and give him a great big thank-you from a VERY grateful 46 year old man that was once a very ungrateful 15 year old kid. Please know that your husband made a huge difference in this world and he will always hold a special place in my heart. Without his caring intervention about 30 years ago, it is likely that I would not have had the ability to write this small tribute to the man that did so much for me. I hope that although his services are now complete that you will be able to get this message. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
Very Truly yours
-Chris Kearney Franklin, MA

Jim and Chris,
I am sorry for your loss. I remember how your father and your mother loved taking care of their boats. I also remember visiting your grandmother, Aunt Anna, at your parents' house. I hope I am able to make it to the wake in Monday.
Regards,
Kathy Moscillo and her husband James Megna as well as her parents Margaret and James Moscillo
