Mary Jo and family,
I was saddened to hear of Al's passing. I am privileged to have worked with "Mr. Al" for many years at SAIC, as are so many others. He was one of the smartest people I have ever known, and he mentored many over the years. His work was immensely important to him, but his family meant everything, and he spoke of you often. I remember his excitement when the grandbabies started arriving - they brought a sparkle to his eye, and were one of his greatest joys. He will be missed.

Dear Mary Jo,
I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. I absolutely adored him and loved seeing him at the block parties, at the beach or around the neighborhood. He was so much fun to talk to -- it always seemed like he was bubbling over with joy and happiness. He made me smile every single time I saw him! I will treasure my memories of him and carry his happy spirit with me always.
Much love,
Elly

Mary, please know that Mahlon and I are thinking of you and your sweet family today and are sending prayers your way. Al was such a delight to be with. I cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our wonderful visit to Duxsbury and the chance to get to know Al some years back. I know he never forgot our excursion to Hyanis Port and loved to tell people about it. I am not sure that he really believed where we actually ended up though! If you ever feel the need to come "home", know that you are welcome to stay with us anytime and as long as you like! Sending our love to you and yours, Sondra

To all the family, your dad will be missed by me, Uncle Al was my favorite, he took the time to actually talk with me as a child and continuted through adulthood. What a wonderful person he was, you just don't know how much I looked up to Uncle Al. My time with him recently was most memorable. I love you all, keep your heads high, your memories can't be taken away. David Dickson
