Obituary of Norman C. Shepherd

Norman C. Shepherd, 74, of Kingston, died suddenly July 5. Beloved husband of Nancy (Hamilton) Shepherd. Loving father of David P. Shepherd and his wife Elaine of Marshfield, Michael J. Shepherd of Pembroke, and Kristin Klaus and her husband Joseph of Kingston. Devoted and loving papa of Michael J. Klaus, Sarah E. Weston, Leah Klaus, Joseph J. Shepherd, and David P. Shepherd, Jr. Norman is the son of Constance C. Shepherd of Pembroke, and the late Melvin Shepherd. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Norman was a 1957 graduate of Silver Lake High School. He served 6 years in the United States Navy. After leaving the military, he was employed as a manager in the body shop for Standish Chevrolet for fifteen years. He then opened his own shop, Shepherd's Auto Body in 1980 in Pembroke. He was known for his expertise with automobiles, and he was the proud owner of a 1939 Ford and a 1953 Ford truck, which he restored himself. More recently, he enjoyed a new hobby of woodcarving. Visiting hours on Monday July 9 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., Rt. 106, Kingston, from 3:00-7:00PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 7:00PM.
