Obituary of Theresa Brandos

Theresa "Therese" Germaine Brandos (Delcourt/Levasseur) passed away on November 28, 2011 at the age of 85. Born and raised in Maine, Theresa spent the majority of her life in Quincy. She was the proud owner of a hairdressing salon located in Coddington Square, Boston until she joined the staff at the Beauty Gardens in Quincy. Theresa enjoyed her family and her faith. She was an active member of Lady Sodality of St. John's Parish in Quincy. She also taught CCD for many years with her late friend Ruthie Newcomb.
In most recent months, Theresa appreciated the wonderful assistance and friendship of the staff at the Alzheimer’s Duxbury House, where she last resided. She was the wife of the late Adrian Brandos and the late Frederick Delcourt. Beloved mother of Sandy Delcourt and his wife Karen of Pembroke, Gerard Delcourt of Lowell, Michelle Delcourt of Taunton, Colette Lauretto (Tempesta/Delcourt) and her husband Richard of Pembroke, Phillip Delcourt and his wife Donna of Marshfield, Patrick Delcourt and Robert Drew of Boston. Loving grandmother of Kristen Trent, Michael Delcourt, Eric Delcourt, Stephanie Caldeira, Matthew Elder, Laura Splawn, Kathleen Bugbee, Anthony Lauretto, Dawn Navarez, Phillip Delcourt, Jr., Daniel Delcourt, Peter Delcourt, and fourteen great grandchildren. Theresa was one of fourteen children, Theresa is survived by her sisters Simone Koch of N Quincy, Aurore Lopes of Somerville, and her brother Chanel Levasseur and his wife Loraine of Somerville and two sister-in-laws Lee Levasseur of Brewster, and Barbara Levasseur of N Quincy and many nephews and nieces.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 4-8 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 2nd at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Hanson at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Holy Family Cemetery, Rockland. Memorial donations may be made to The Duxbury House Activities Fund, 298 Kingstown Way, Duxbury, MA 02332.
