Obituary of Charles Boulay Jr.
Charles Boulay, Jr., born on May 31, 1942, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 12, 2024, in Carver, Massachusetts. Charles was the beloved son of Charles, Sr. and Marianna Boulay of Fall River, Massachusetts.
Charles dedicated nearly 40 years of his life to the Military Service, exemplifying a steadfast commitment to his Country. In his later years, he found joy in part time work, staying active and engaged with his community. A lifelong goal was to complete college, achieving a significant milestone with a Liberal Arts Degree from Curry College in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in 2015 at age 73.
A man of deep faith, Charles was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Carver, Massachusetts, where he was the Cantor for over 20 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Charles was a professed Third Order Secular Franciscan, as well. His spiritual dedication was a cornerstone of his life and an inspiration to those who knew him.
Charles had a profound love of nature and craftsmanship. He enjoyed spending many hours in the barn built by his son and working with the tools in his garage. His creative spirit shone through in the birdhouses and raised garden beds he crafted with care. He also took pride in building a beautiful koi pond in his backyard, with the help of his children, where they would relax and enjoy the serenity of the pond. He would visit a farm where his daughter's therapy horses live and are cared for. Charles enjoyed these visits with the horses, reminiscing about his own horses of long ago.
An avid gardener, Charles found peace in his gardens and cherished the companionship of his beloved dogs and cats. Charles loved to go for walks and bike rides over the years with his family and his dogs in the beautiful cranberry bogs behind his home.
Sadly, Charles leaves behind his beloved wife and beloved children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one brother, two sisters, cousins, and many nieces and nephews, along with many lifelong and devoted friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 20th at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Carver at 10:30am. Burial services will directly follow at the Plymouth County Cemetery.
In Loving Memory
