Obituary of Bradford N. Bishop, III

Please share a memory of Bradford to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bradford Nelson Bishop III, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Kingston on November 15, 2024.

Brad was born in Weymouth to Dorothy Bishop and the late Bradford Bishop, of Plymouth, on April 19, 1962. He attended Plymouth Carver High School. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Susan Deveney Bishop. The couple started a life together in Bourne before moving to Duxbury, where they raised their beautiful family.  Brad and Sue then moved to Kingston where they looked forward to retirement together.

Devoted father of Blade Bishop (Asia), Brooke Bishop, and Quinn Bishop (Allie). Dear brother of Jeffery Bishop (Jacqueline), and Rhonda Bishop (Dino Genova). Cherished Grumpa to Charlotte, Stryder, and Amirah. Loved by his many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Brad will be lovingly remembered for his quick wit, off-color jokes, his love for his dog, Cody, and his readiness to try anything new thrown his way. Anyone that knew Brad knew that his grandkids stole his heart from the start. His favorite pastimes were watching the Patriots, with Sue, and hunting and fishing with his best friends. We will always carry his memory and legacy in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston on November 22, from 9:30- 10:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church, Duxbury at 11am.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please plant a tree or shrub, of your own, to remember Brad forever.
