I knew Midge Knight (not yet married) in high school, for two years. She coached field hockey, basketball, and tennis and I played all three. Along with great coaching, she taught us life lessons: determination, hard work, and teamwork. She gave me confidence, which carried through college, where I also played sports, and beyond. My teammates and I loved her and were crushed when she left to get married, although we knew she wanted to be a Mom. We also knew she's be a great one.
I was over the moon when she came to the Class of 1961's sixtieth reunion. How wonderful to see her again and be able to tell her how much she had meant to me as a teacher and an inspiration!

Midge wove so much into the lives of so many others.
