It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Nikki Ann Coffin, who passed away at home on July 20, 2024 after an arduous battle with pancreatic cancer.
As a young woman, Nikki proudly served as a member of the Army Reserves, during which time she was stationed in Germany. After her service, Nikki worked an assortment of service, janitorial, and manual labor jobs to provide for herself and her young family while she earned an associate’s degree from Cape Cod Community College until she joined Verizon in 1996, where she worked in many roles within the company over 27 years, eventually retiring in December of 2023. She lived an active lifestyle and loved sailing, skiing, biking, hiking, and gardening. She also loved holidays, especially Christmas, as they represented an opportunity to spend time and make memories with family and friends. She also drove a float in Plymouth’s Thanksgiving Parade for 16 years and loved the joy it brought to those who attended.
Nikki is survived by her children, Julian Coffin-Hadfield and Andrew Coffin and wife, Dani; her grandchildren Isaac and Eden; her mother, Jean Coffin; her siblings, Dawn Coffin and fiancé, Warren, Shawn Coffin and partner, Cheryl, Heather Pooler and husband, Kevin, and Justin Coffin; her nieces and nephews Samantha, Liam, Megan, Jake, Lily, Gabriel, Aidan and Declan; her beloved dog, Bosco; and an uncountable number of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Paul Coffin, and her nephew, Ryan.
To commemorate her life and celebrate the love she shared, a visitation will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA on Saturday, August 10, 2024 from 4-8 pm. We welcome all who wish to join in remembrance of a truly special woman.
