Roger B. Merrill, Jr., 92, of Kingston, passed away peacefully at home on August 1, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of 65 years to Carole L. Merrill of Kingston. Loving Father to Roger B. Merrill, III, and his wife Elizabeth of Fabius, NY, Jeanne M. McGrath and her husband John of Brockton, Carole L. Merrill, Debra L. Merrill, Susan B. Merrill, and Gayle M. Merrill of Kingston. Brother to David E. Merrill of Nashua, NH and the late Robert W. Merrill formerly of Nashua, NH. 

Cherished Grandfather to Mollie, Aimee, Melanie and her husband Scott, Amanda, Kellie and her husband Jacob, Nathaniel and his wife Stefanie, and Patrick, and Great Grandfather to Rosalie Joy. 

Roger is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as his extended family and friends. 

Roger served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was a faithful member of St Joseph Parish for 56 years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, vacationing with his grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. Roger lived a full life of faith, family and service and will be deeply missed.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 9th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 10th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Kingston. Graveside service will follow at St. Joseph cemetery in Kingston. 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to St. Joseph Parish in Kingston, MA and Cranberry Hospice in Plymouth,MA.
