Obituary of Sharon Faye McCaffrey

On July 14, 2024 Sharon McCaffrey passed peacefully in the comfort of our home after long illness.

Her beautiful spirit will be missed by all who knew her.Sharon was born July 1st 1957 to Mary And Paul Higgins in Norwood Ma. She grew up In Raynham Ma and graduated Bridgewater-Raynham high school in 1976. She spent most of her professional career working as a commercial insurance rep and obtained her insurance brokers license in that time. She forged many lifelong relationships with her co-workers and clients.

Sharon was my wife of nearly 28 years. She was a gentle soul with a sharp wit that some called sassy. She had a creative spirit she expressed through various activities such as sewing, knitting, needlepoint, arts & crafts and cooking,  especially cooking. She loved the holidays, Christmas in particular. She was the architect behind Christmas memories for many years for our large family. It was exhausting for her but she loved it. With her birthday being July 1st,  she would declare July her birthday month and we celebrated accordingly. She loved her beach time with friends. In the fall she would be antiquing and visiting yard sales. She loved animals. Over the years we shared our lives with four dogs and two cats.Sharon had an indominable spirit that shined thru the many hardships in her life and yet kept her sense of humor, her empathy and her love allowing her beautiful spirit touch many lives.

Sharon is survived by her husband Chris McCaffrey, her daughter Heidi Philbrick , her grandson Anthony Correa, 5 brother-in-laws, 6 sister-in-laws, many nieces and nephews and many good friends.

Visiting hours will be held at Shepherd Funeral home  116 Main St Carver MA on July 28, 2024 from 11 am until 1 pm with ceremony at 12:30 pm

In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations be made in Sharon's name to Cranberry Hospice 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth MA 02360
