Robert A. Johnson Obituary

Robert A. Johnson 79, of Plymouth, MA passed away on April 15, 2024. Robert was born April 18, 1944 in Boston to the late Robert and Lillian (Doyle) Johnson.


Robert is survived by his wife Diane Johnson of Plymouth, Son Eric Johnson of Plymouth, Robert M. Johnson and wife Gina (Tortora) of Carver, granddaughters Abigail and Ashleigh Johnson of Carver, grandson Joseph Tortora and wife Caroline of Kingston, Siters Cheryl Igo of Wells, ME and Irene Kirk of Lawrence, MA. Robert is predeceased by sisters Beverly Freeman and Rita Needham both of GA.


Robert attended St, Margarets School in Boston and graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston, after High School Robert went on to marry Diane Joyce in 1968, After marrying Diane, Robert was drafted into the Army in 1969 then attended Fisher Community College and went on to become the head meat cutter and Regional Director of First National, A&P, Mr. Grocer and Flanagans Supermarkets and retiring in 2007.


Robert was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Robert loved woodworking, traveling, watching the Sox games and spending time with his family.


Calling hours for Robert will be held on Wednesday April 24th from 5 to 7 at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Carver, A funeral Mass will be held Thursday the 25th at 10:30 at Saint Kateri’s Church in Plymouth followed by a burial at the Massachusetts Cemetery in Bourne MA.
