Richard Daniel Winslow Obituary

Richard Winslow, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2024, at the West Roxbury VA surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.


Richard grew up in Plympton MA and is survived by his daughter, Danielle Dos Santos, and her husband Edson, as well as Benjamin and Aidan Winslow, Melissa Fahey, and Christopher Burr from his second marriage to Jeanne Del Pozzo. Richard is also survived by his siblings Nancy Crocker, Steven and Robert Winslow, four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Andrea Curtis, parents Charles Winslow and Mary Springer, and sister, Kimberly LaRue.


A kind and gentle soul, Richard had a deep love for animals and was often seen leaving snacks for the wildlife near his home. His love extended to his family, whom he cared for deeply. Richard expressed his love through his culinary skills, cooking countless meals over the years to bring joy and comfort to his loved ones and community. He was a talented carpenter and loved classic rock.


Services to celebrate Richard's life will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA 02364, on Thursday, April 11, 2024. The wake will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a brief service. All are welcome to join the family for a repass from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Alden Park located at 160 Colony Place, Plymouth, MA 02360.

Richard Winslow will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
