Donald George Isabel, 79, of Pembroke, MA, passed away on March 29, 2024 at his son Donald's home while surrounded by his children, grandchildren and friends.

Donald was born in Bridgewater Ma to Mary and Joseph Isabel on October 8th, 1944. He went to high school in Bridgewater and joined the Army at age 18. He worked as a manager for Halliday Printing for 10 years and he owned and ran Isabel Wood Crafts for 15 years, while also owning Tinky’s Sandwich Shop in Carver for 10 years with his then wife and now good friend Lorraine Isabel. He spent his last years working for Van Pool out of Duxbury driving children to school. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and doing projects around his house or his sons’ houses. Whether it was working on cars or going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, Donald loved spending time with his family.

Donald is survived by his son Donald Joseph of Bridgewater and his wife Kimberly and their children, Donald, Michael, Seth and Lachlan, his son Joseph of Bridgewater his wife Caitlin and their children Arianna, Maya, and Paige, his son Kevin of Carver and his wife Danielle and children Justin, Jack, Madeline, Ryder and Juliet, his son David of Plymouth and his wife Tiffany and their children Christopher, Josh and great granddaughter Genevieve and his son Anthony of Rhode Island, his son Casey of East Bridgewater and his wife Stephanie and children, Max, Joanna, Lincoln and Avery.

He is preceded in death by his life partner Thomas Walsh, his grandson David Lacey and his parents Mary and Joseph, and his siblings Eileen, Marjorie, Richard.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 6th from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston.

Memorial donations may be made to the NVNA and Hospice Charitable Fund, 120 Longwater Drive Norwell, Ma 02061. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the nurses and staff at the NVNA and Hospice program out of Norwell.
