Doris T. DeHay Obituary

Doris T. (Proulx) DeHay, 84, of Carver, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, March 6, 2024, with her loving husband of 59 years, Roger, by her side. Doris was born and raised in Southbridge, MA with her three sisters; Diane of Dudley, Susan of Virginia and her late sister June. Doris and Roger later settled in Brockton, MA where she raised her five children Michael, Marc, Theresa, Marie, and Deborah.


Doris was loved by all that knew her, she lit up a room with her smile, and she had a huge heart of gold. Doris had a way of making everyone feel special, because to her, everyone was!


Doris is survived by her husband Roger DeHay, her children Michael DeHay and his wife Shirley, Marc DeHay, Theresa DeHay Howard and husband William Howard, Marie DeHay Boen and husband Daniel Boen, and Deborah DeHay, as well as her grandchildren Paul, Ryan, Aaron, Cameron, Danielle, Andrew, Zachary, Jordan, Samuel, Alexa, Asher, Adrian, and Austin. Doris also has four great grandchildren, Olivia, Maisie, Reagan, and Tatum.


Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Doris on Wednesday, March 13th, from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St (Rt. 58) Carver. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 11:00 AM at St. Kateri Church, 126 S. Meadow Rd, Plymouth. A graveside service will follow at Union cemetery in Carver. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Kateri Church, 126 S. Meadow Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360.
