Seth A. Kallio Jr. Obituary

Seth A. Kallio Jr. passed away at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston on February 6th at the age of 91.


Seth was the son of Finnish Immigrants Seth A. Kallio, Sr. and Liisa (Pokela) Kallio. He was proud of his heritage and enjoyed playing Finnish Folk songs on the accordion, Seth lived in Carver all his life.


He began working on the Cranberry bogs as a child, after graduating from Plymouth High School in 1950, he began working full time at A.D. Makepeace Co. in Wareham, where he was employed for 47 years, He made many friends there and continued to visited them after he retired.


Seth was active until his death, He continued to do yard work, after he retired, he began studying Foreign Languages, At the time of his death he was literate in Seven Languages.va) Kallio.


Seth is predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Fava) and is survived by his daughter, Cynthia of Carver, and his brother-in-law, Raymond Fava of Wareham.


Calling hours for Seth will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 main St. Carver, Ma on Tuesday February 13th from 4 to 6pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday February 14th at the Union Cemetery in Carver at 11am.
