Obituary of Anne Caradonna

Anne Caradonna passed away peacefully at Massachusetts General Hospital on December 28th, 2023 following a sudden illness. She was gearing up for a second battle with breast cancer after a long remission.

Anne is survived by her son, David Cowing and his wife Monique, their daughter Nina Marie, her daughter Jen Kralowetz and her husband Kyle, their son Emerson, her brother Charles, sister Teresa, brother Peter, and ex-husband, Charles Cowing, as well as countless relatives and friends. She loved her dog and constant companion Lucy, as well as a long list of past dachshunds.

Anne was born in Quincy on June 13th, 1955 to her parents the late Norman and Ann Caradonna. She grew up in Wollaston and Hingham. She graduated from Stonehill College with a Bachelor's degree in Biology, followed by a master’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University. She had a long career in nursing, specializing in at-home care for the elderly.

Anne enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved walking on the beach, spending time with neighbors as well as friends from church.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will live in all our hearts forever.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA on Friday, January 5 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A funeral mass will begin on Saturday, January 6 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Parish, 272 Main Street, Kingston, MA. A private interment ceremony will directly follow for family only.

Flowers are welcome or donations to The Ellie Fund, a non-profit that fights breast cancer and provides free services to ease the effects on cancer patients and families.

Memorial visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 5th, from 4-6:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106). A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church, Kingston. Graveside services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Kingston.
