Obituary of Maureen F. Watson

Maureen F. Watson, 83, of Duxbury and Clark’s Island, passed away suddenly on November 23, 2023. Beloved wife of Clinton Watson married 63 years. 

Maureen was born in Boston on May 5th, 1940, the daughter of the late Charles and Irene McTiernan. 

Loving Mother to Thomas Watson (Annmarie Crosby), Matthew Watson (Lori Doherty Watson), Deborah Watson Bolan (Geoffrey Bolan), Heather Watson Grady (Joseph Grady), and the late Nathan Watson. 

Maureen is also survived by her sister Marilyn Cioffi, her cherished Grandchildren Brianne, Michael, Michaela, Maya, Hayley, Noah, Garrett, Sydney, and Matthew, as well as 6 Great Grandchildren, her extended family, and lifelong friends.

She was a dedicated insurance agent at O’Grady Insurance in Plymouth, Ma until retirement. Her summers were spent with family and friends on Clark’s Island in Duxbury Bay. She loved to cook, and every summer would plant a vegetable garden.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 30th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral mass will take place on Friday, December 1st at 10:00 AM at Holy Family church, 601 Tremont St, Duxbury. A graveside service will follow at Mayflower cemetery, Duxbury.
