Janet Mae (McIntire) Sears, 89, of Kingston, Mass., born in a house in Taunton on January 2, 1934 daughter of Lee Webster McIntire and Hazel Carver (Horton) McIntire and wife of 68 years to Charles Frederick Sears died peacefully with her family after a short illness on Friday October 6, 2023.
She is survived by her children Debra Lee Cole and husband Lawrence of Carver, Mark Douglas Sears and partner Linda Donovan of Kingston, Lucinda Anne Higgins and partner Coleman Earner of Plymouth, Karen Suzanne Sears of Kingston, Timothy Scott Sears and wife Ann of Plymouth.
Also survived by many grandchildren; Jennifer Lee Higgins, Deanna Marie Bell, Heather Marie Pentrack, Derek Edward Sears, Sherette Matthews, Christina Anne Buckus, and twins Michael S. Buckus and Lindsay Jean Mosca, and 8 great grandchildren.
She was raised in Taunton and in her younger days she worked for the phone company as an operator. Her favorite job was driving a school bus for Duxbury Schools for 17 years. Her favorite activities were cooking and baking for her family, lots of gardening anytime the weather was nice, and playing Bingo with her friends.
There will be a private service for the family and donations can be made to Cranberry Hospice.
