David W Tucker, Jr, age 83, died peacefully after a brief illness on September 14,2023. He was the son of David W Tucker, Sr(deceased) and Theresa (Fucillo) Tucker (deceased) of Rockland, husband of the late Nancy (Paulding) Tucker, his wife of 40 years; sister, Mary Lou Tucker (deceased), sister Elizabeth Osborne and her husband Steve of Plymouth, daughter Brenda Tucker of Carver, daughter Joan Shurtleff (deceased) and her husband John of Carver, daughter Patricia Meaden and her husband Clive of Carver, son David W Tucker III and his wife Patricia of Carver and son Dennis Tucker and his wife Kristen of Sagamore, MA. He was the loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time companion and best friend, Norma Gilmartin of Halifax and many nieces and nephews.

David grew up in Rockland and was a long-time employee of Norwood Motor Parts. He later started a painting business and also flipped houses. He loved to help people with home improvementsand was always happy to give people a helping hand. He spent the last 45 years living in Carver.  David had a love of boating and was often seen on his boat at the Wareham Marina. He loved sports and coached baseball, softball, football and basketball and was a former Vice President of Carver Little League. "Mr Tucker" would often be seen keeping score of every game with his notepad in his pocket. He will truly be missed. 

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 24th at 1 pm at Mezza Luna Restaurant in Buzzards Bay.
