Obituary of Marie Teresa Barrone

Please share a memory of Marie Teresa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Marie Teresa Barrone (Fiorentino - Indingaro) was a wonderful, loving mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew her. She leaves her daughter Ria Latulippe and her companion Peter Stankard of East Walpole, MA. Her grandson Dustin Latulippe, who lived and cared for her in Carver, MA. Her granddaughter Brianna Wilson (Barrone) and her husband Patrick Wilson of Plympton, MA. She also leaves her beloved dog Brandi.

She was preceded in death by her son Robert M. Indingaro-Barrone of Carver, MA and her son-in-law Dale Latulippe also of Carver, MA. Her parents Mary E. Fioentino (Minola) and Angelo Fiorentino.

She was a classicly trained pianist and played at The Opera House in Boston, MA. many times. Marie also loved to drag race as a teenager, until she blew the motor of her mothers car. Neeedless to say it wasn't a good day! Her first job was at Shawmut Bank in Boston when she was 16, of course when they realized she wasn't 18, they let her go!

She sang in the church choir all through school and graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic High   in East Boston, MA in 1960 and married her high school sweet heart, Michael Indingaro and lived in Revere,MA. She also taught kindergarden at the same school. She gratuated from Career Acadamy in 1969 as a Medical Assistant.

In 1972 she moved to Carver and started working at the Jordan Hospital in the admitting dept. for about 2yrs. She left and went to Dr. Baron and Dr Nirenburg, OB-GYN for the next 7 years. She returned to Jordan Hospital for around 38 yrs. She worked in Admittting/Outpaintent and moved to overnights in the computor room, then a floater at the nurses station on every floor. She spent the biggest part of her career in the ER department until she retird at 75. In all her years there she made many friends and they loved her dearly.

She loved to travel and the beach. When she lived in Revere, she would go to Las Vegas to see shows and sometimes just fly to NY for a cup of coffee. I'm sure she did alot of shopping as well. Living in Carver she did alot of traveling with her best friend Grace, They went to Hawaii twice and once to Texas. She also enjoyed the casinos, but when they stopped using coins, it wasnt fun anymore! We went as a family to Washington D.C for a week. We drove to Disney once and had to rush home because we had a flood at home! That wasnt fun but at least the trip was. We returned to Disney a couple of years later, but flew this time. Many memories. She and her friend Carol were planning a trip to Italy, unfortunately Covid prevented them both a chance at one of their dreams.

She was a Cub Scout Den mother and worked on call as a Police Matron for the Carver and Middleboro Police Departments. She was also of member of the Lioness Club, I'm not sure if they are around anymore, which is the female version of the Lions club.

More importanly, Marie loved her family dearly, as they did her, they were her number one priority. We will miss her despretlty. She truley was one of a kind.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 25th from 4:00 to 8:00pm. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, August 26th at 10:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver. Interment will directly follow at Central cemetery in Carver.
