Cynthia (Cindy) H. McCloskey, 85, of Carver, MA and Englewood, FL, passed away peacefully on July 5th, 2023, in East Bridgewater, MA.

Cindy was born in Boston to Helen Carlsen. She attended Quincy High School and graduated in 1956. She received an art degree from Quincy College and worked for the City of Quincy as the coordinator for housing and rehabilitation. Cindy was a talented award-winning oil and watercolor artist and was the former president and longtime member of the Quincy Art Association. In her spare time, she fostered a love for quilting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Charles McCloskey. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary on June 25th. She is also survived by her son Joe and his wife Jacqui McCloskey of S. Weymouth and her daughter Laurel and her husband Steve Milliken of Carver. Cindy was the beloved sister of Marcia Oster-Rowland of Santa Monica, CA and sister-in-law to Nancy Duca of Weymouth. Cindy was the devoted grandmother to Kirstyn Milliken and Jenna Milliken of Carver.

Visiting hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home at 116 Main Street in Carver on Tuesday, July 11th from 10 AM-12 PM.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 11th at 1:45 at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org.

Cindy will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
