Obituary of Janet D. Hobill

Janet D Hobill (Cookson),80,longtime resident of Pembroke, MA passed away peacefully on June 29, 2023 

Janet was born in Rockland, MA on July 29, 1942 to John and Martha Cookson. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1960, and always looked forward to planning and attending her class reunions. Janet married Norman Hobill of Hanson, Ma on February 24^th 1963, they were married for 60 years and lived in Pembroke, MA for all of them. Throughout those years Janet worked at Cummings Department Store, East Bridgewater Savings Bank, Ocean Spray, and Star Market. Janet enjoyed several winters in Florida, trips to Hawaii, camping with family and friends and cruises to Alaska and Panama Canal. Janet always cherished time spent with her family.

Janet is survived by her husband Norman, sons Timothy Hobill and his wife Deborah of Plymouth, MA, Dale Hobill and his wife Dawn Drummey Hobill of Upton, MA and daughter Dawn Hobill of East Hartford, CT.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Gregory Hobill and his wife Katelyn of Marstons Mills, MA, Kayla Pollard (Hobill) and her husband Christopher of Bangor, ME, Nickolas Hobill and his wife Krystina of Stow, MA, Hannah Hobill and her fiancé Thomas Thayer of Natick, MA, as well as her great-grandchildren, Logan, Lillian, Cyril, Owen,Lukas, Emmett, Lincoln, Audrey, and Leah all of whom she adored and brought her great joy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial visiting hours at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216

Main Street, Kingston, MA on July 14^th, 2023 from 3pm to 7pm. Burial will be private.
