Obituary of Patrick G. Delaney

Patrick George Delaney, 66, of Kingston, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 surrounded by family.

Pat leaves behind his beloved wife Paula Delaney and their two daughters Kiley Delaney and Makayla Delaney (Girl Dad). He also leaves behind his 5 beautiful grandchildren Jaedon, Isaeyah, Kiandrae, Kylaezia and Laelani who meant the world to him, as well as their family dog "Scooby" who is going to miss his Papa very much.

Pat loved nothing more than being a Papa and attending the Grandkid's sporting events and dance recitals. He loved spoiling them with his secret stash of cookies and candy and he even had a secret stash of dog treats.

Pat was the son of the late Patrick and Priscilla Delaney. He is survived by his sister Karen Boncek and her husband Stephen Boncek, sister Jill Moskos and many nieces and nephews. He is joining his brother Michael Delaney and sister Priscilla Delaney who predeceased him.

Pat was born on November 2nd, 1956 in Boston, MA. He was fondly known as "Hollywood" for his baseball talent. He graduated from Silver Lake Regional High school, where he was an amazing athlete and loved hockey, golf and baseball. After graduating, he became a brilliant carpenter. In the 80s, he had the great fortune to build houses for many of the Red Sox players. He eventually built his own beautiful house on Silver Lake in Kingston where he lived with his wife and raised their two daughters. He loved watching his girls grow and was their #1 fan watching them play sports. He was a simple man who did right by people. He enjoyed the simple things in life such as spending time with his family.

Pat believed, "You can't buy memories. You can only make them." He did just that. From grilling, swimming, fishing, bonfires, card games, reading and telling jokes, he is leaving everyone who loved him with the best memories that will never be forgotten.

Although Pat left us far too soon, the impact he had here on earth will be felt for years to come. Please join us for a Celebration Of Life on Sunday May 21, 2023 from 2pm-6pm at the Hilltop Athletic Association at 65 Pottle Street Kingston, MA 02364. Burial service will be private.
