Thomas M. O’Neil Jr, 81, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2023.

Tom was born in Springfield, MA to Thomas and Katherine O’Neil. He went to Cathedral High School and graduated in 1959.  Following high school, Tom worked for his father’s business alongside many of his uncles.  During this time he learned lots of life lessons and many that could not be taught in the classroom.  He then went onto graduate from American International College in 1964 where he studied accounting.  Much of his professional career was spent working for the Department of Justice and later Homeland Security.  Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid card player.  He appreciated many of life’s simple pleasures such as a cup of tea, home-cooked meals, strolls on the Florida beaches and walks in the falling snow.

Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife, Ellen Grace O’Neil.  He is survived by his daughter & her husband, Heather and Mike Tremblay of Pembroke, MA and his son & his wife, Andrew and Cassi O’Neil of Las Vegas, NV. He was the proud “Pappy” to Thomas, Marie, & James Tremblay and Brady & Grace O’Neil. He was the dear brother of Janice Roule and Jim & Jean O’Neil.  He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.  Tom will be remembered for always sharing words of encouragement with those dear to him.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 25th from 12:00-2:00pm with a brief service from 2:00-2:30pm at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, MA.
