Q: What will you never forget about Ronald?
A: Dearest Ron: In the context of the Communion of Saints, we are still one in Christ. You are in a place of full-knowing whereas we, I am, seeing through a glass dimly. Yes, I miss you so much; the last time that we spoke was when you came to my house in January with a bountiful Christmas gift from you and Alice. And then we spoke several times while you were in the hospital.
I know you are with our many family members who have gone on before; you are being loved and cherished by so many in heaven, while we, here are missing your physical presence.
Ron I so remember our baptism at the lake in Duxbury with Pastor John Cramer; and our many times in church at the little house of worship in the back woods of Duxbury. We had such wonderful times in Christian fellowship.. I also remember that when we were in high school, I was a in tenth grade and your were a senior and the star of the track team. We all were so proud of you. I had to let all know that you were my cousin!!
And then was your wedding to Alice, how we all rejoiced for your happy union with your beloved Alice. The Lord blessed you both with four wonderful children. Your love and spiritual investment in their young lives still bears fruits if righteousness and beauty in their lives and children.
So my cherished cousin Ron, I know you see us and understand our loss of not having you around. Thank you for setting the pathway to heaven for all of us who are left behind or until the Lord returns and we all are one in Christ. I love you and I do miss you so much. I know you are at home with your creator and how the Lord must rejoice over you and your love for him and all that you have loved and influence here below. Soar with the angels on high; bask in the beauty of Jesus and know that we will, one day, see you again. In God's love, your cousin Barb and Rev. Dr. Barbara Kathleen Welch.

Mr. Peck, Ron, was my next door neighbor on Mayflower Street for forty years. He was also the father of Alison, one of my best friends. I have so many fond memories through the years. So many summer days at the Peck’s pool, where we took swimming lessons and stayed in the water until our lips turned blue or there was lightning. Going out on the boat and pulling up lobster traps with all sorts of interesting sea creatures. The trip to Syracuse, antiquing all the way. Ron had so many collections that he loved to show and talk about, but the clocks stand out in my mind. Ron was not only there for me growing up, but also my children, who he watched grow into adulthood. Ron was always nearby on a snowy day to plow the entire neighborhood. Interestingly, he had a slow children sign up by his home, but that man liked to drive fast!
Rest In Peace, Ron, until we meet again…
Love Tami Traft
