Obituary of Eric K Jacoby

Please share a memory of Eric to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

We are heartbroken to announce the death of our father, Eric Karl Jacoby. He passed away peacefully on Friday December 16th at the age of 78, surround by his family. Dad was born in Germany on May 31st 1944. He moved with his parents to the United States when he was 3 years old.  Dad worked as an architect/product designer and was extremely talented.

Through the years, Dad enjoyed measuring his love for his kids in camels, building/fixing things including: our go cart track when we were kids- our swing set and train set and Massive Snow ramps, spending time with his family, watching or playing tennis, hot rods (especially his new Corvette), going on vacations with the family, going on road trips in the RV with his son Eric, having dinner dates with his Daughter Sandra at Sushi Joy, helping his daughter Robin find her childhood orange kitty “Tom Tom”, boating, Cribbage, being with his dog and best friend Baxter and spending time and enjoying many adventures with his loving partner of 18 years Carol. His laugh was infectious; he could somehow laugh and talk at the same time and he had an amazing sense of humor.  Dad also had an incredible talent of always being right. His favorite expression was “Those who think they know everything are very annoying to those of us who do”.

Being a grandpa, or as his grandkids called him “BA” came naturally to him. His grandkids loved cuddling with him on his recliner and getting the best BA hugs. He loved watching mickey mouse club house with his grandkids over and over and over and over again.

Our Dad is survived by his children Robin Jacoby, Sandra Hilliard and her partner Shawn Munroe, and his son Eric Jacoby; 3 grandchildren Melody, Jayden, and Delaney; and his partner Carol Silenzi.

Dad our lives will never be the same without you. We love you more than a trillion camels and are so grateful you are now at peace.

We will be holding a celebration of his life at a later date with close family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ASPCA as Dad had a love for all animals.
