Obituary of Dannie Fournier

Dannie Wan Fournier of Kingston, age 67, passed away peacefully on December 14,2022 at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Jamaica Plain after a long and courageous battle with several illnesses. Dannie was born to her mother the late Mee Wane Chiu Wan and her father Che Chung Wan. Dannie is survived by her beloved husband, Steve Fournier of Kingston, who provided Dannie with unrelenting comfort and care. Dannie worked as a professional hairstylist and then as a dental assistant. Dannie loved putting her hairstyling skills into practice proving the family with many a haircut and treatment. Dannie's beautiful smile and her loving and caring nature will forever be remembered as her legacy. Dannie loved spending every minute of her time with Steve, she enjoyed travel, dining out, singing, music and especially enjoyed seeing her brothers playing in their band. Dannie loved family gatherings and celebrations of family birthdays and holidays. Despite all her health challenges, Dannie’s older sister Suk Yen was a professional singer and Dannie was trained and performed in her show since young age in Hong Kong until immigrating to San Francisco, then Boston at age of 13. She used to sings in my band too and was a fine vocalist and big fan of Carol King The Tapestry Album we are playing now was her favorite album She could sing every one of the 14 songs on this album as well as many other Pop Songs in Chinese and also English. Dannie never complained and overcame many obstacles to live life and be with Steve and family.   

Dannie is also survived by her bothers John Wan and sister- in- law Irene, Ted Wan and sister-in-law Rebecca, Alex Wan and sister-in-law Annie, sisters, Suk Chai Wan,  Suk Yen Wan, Suk Ching Wan and Suk Tak Wan, Daughter Shelia Walker and grandson Jared Walker, brother-in-law Richard Fournier and Patricia Fournier. Dannie is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as Grand nephews, nieces and Great grand nephews and nices.

A celebration of life and visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 18th from 4-8 PM at the Shepperd Funeral home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, Ma. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, starting at 10:30 AM. Interment will be at the Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Kingston, Ma.
